Compote was founded by me, Lily. I make every element of the cakes sold right here. I design and deliver every cake working collaboratively with customers to make your visions become a reality. Inspired by my Granny at an early age baking has always been a common thread in my life, providing a happy place for me to return back to whenever it’s been needed.

I have worked for the last 6 years managing and baking for a small business giving me great experience in customer service and understanding customer needs and expectations. I also have a total of 12 years’ experience in hospitality taking all the baking opportunities I could along the way even when it wasn’t necessarily required! This has given me the skills to narrow down my vision and recognise my gap in the market to make delicious, real cakes made from all the best ingredients. It also allows me to work closely with like minded people and create bespoke beautiful cakes.

All of my cakes are made from scratch with quality at the forefront of my vision. I believe that style shouldn’t come at the sacrifice of taste and vice versa. My aim is to marry together both of these elements to deliver the full package of homemade excellence.
